Our Founder Grand Vizier Hobyarlı Ahmet Pasha
On June 22, 1740, when the seal of the Grand Vizierate was entrusted to him by Sultan Mahmud I, Ahmet Pasha was at the zenith of his power. However, he chose not to use this power for personal glory or to build a monument. He had a much larger, much more enduring project in mind. Just thirty-two days after becoming Grand Vizier, on July 24, 1740, he established the Hobyarli Ahmet Pasha Bin Cafer Agha Foundation. This was not haste, but a resolve matured by the accumulation of years. For him, true power lay not in the brilliance of titles, but in supporting the education of a student in need, providing a remedy for a patient seeking healing, and strengthening the spiritual fabric of society. The Foundation was, for him, an oath of service, the most valuable legacy entrusted to future generations.

A Vision Redefining the Concept of Foundations
As soon as S. Necip Özbey took over the management, he redefined the foundation's potential. His vision went beyond merely seeing the foundation's real estate as rental income, aiming instead to transform them into modern and sustainable mechanisms that generate value for the benefit of society. The first and most revolutionary step of this vision was the Annexed Hobyarlı Elhac Former Grand Vizier Ahmet Pasha Bin Cafer Ağa Foundation Economic Enterprise established at the end of 2023. This strategic move placed the Hobyarlı Ahmet Pasha Foundation on record as the first and only foundation among Annexed Foundations to establish its own economic enterprise. This was a historical step taken to significantly increase the foundation's revenues and to place its charitable activities on a stronger footing.
